Tiffany Geigel

Tiffany Geigel initially enrolled at Hunter College as a business major, despite having nurtured a talent for ballet all her life. Born with a rare genetic bone disorder called Jarcho-Levin Syndrome, Geigel didn’t think it was realistic to pursue a dance career, but continued to teach dance classes to kids because she loved it. Eventually she changed her major at Hunter to dance and stage management, with the goal of gaining teaching skills and experience. Her decision to join Hunter’s dance department proved to be life-changing and led to opportunities not only to teach dance, but to perform on stage professionally. 

Geigel has had a remarkable career as a stage manager for Broadway productions, competed on the dance television show So You Think You Can Dance?, and is a member of the Heidi Latsky Dance Company. A New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent, Geigel has modeled for fashion jeweler Alexis Bittar and was the subject of a book of photographs by Asael Dror, The Beauty of Tiffany.
